Welcome to the Friends of X112 website. We exist to support rural transport, specifically the X70, X7, X12 and 11 routes in South Lakeland and the Furness Peninsula.
We have applied for charity status as a Community Interest Organisation and this will open up more funding for our activities to help secure these vital transport routes for residents who are socially and economically isolated from essential services, work opportunities, education, social opportunities and much more.
Update: Our charity application was recently approved and we are now finishing our business plan to setup the company. Thank you to everyone for their support and to all the committee members who put it so much hard work to get us this far.
TO PROVIDE TRANSPORT FACILITIES IN THE FURNESS PENINSULA AND SOUTH LAKELAND AREAS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SPECIAL NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BECAUSE THEY ARE ELDERLY, POOR OR DISABLED, PEOPLE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN OR LIVING (OR STAYING) IN ISOLATED AREAS WHERE THERE ARE NO ADEQUATE PUBLIC TRANSPORT FACILITIES.
